I had always thought that clicks were for High School and such but boy was I wrong. Clicks are in every area of our life in every walk of life. I was watching Grey’s Anatomy for the first time last night and that is pretty much what the show was about. Mcdreamy as I believe he is called, is confronted with the clicks within the hospital. Between Dr.’s and nurses. That one of the nurse’s has been in a dozen or so surgeries with him and the day this came about was the first day they had ever made eye contact. Now is that not sad. And with that said now we know why that we still in some sense have racial issues. If we still divide our selves within our own race how can we expect to not divide ourselves otherwise.
It was funny too, one of the nurses had a guy from High School come in to the ER and they talked about and addressed how gitty she was around him and how she was neglecting her job because of all the attention she was giving him. Which was effecting her ability to treat him effectively. One of her colleagues had to bring this to her attention what was going. And she was very upset, because things have not changed for their relationship since high school.
This happens even in an office setting and I think much more in actuality. In an office you have clicks by title department then clicks within that. It can be quite noticeable in some areas of work. For example a small office that’s quite apparent, however in a bigger office it is harder to notice the clicks.
But overall those of us in the lower ranking clicks we are always trying to get out of them and move into a different click either financial, or appearance or location. Good luck and hopefully we can get rid of the clicks we should all be friends.
