Well went to the theatre for the first time in I can not remember how long and watched Avatar. Yes all the hype was right and so was the award. The movie was about 2 1/2 hrs long but well worth it. We watched Julie/Julia last night and I was pleasantly surprised, I loved it. I was thinking that the going back and forth from Julia Childs’ life back to Julies’ life but it was not. My wife’s a really big fan of the Twilight book series by Stephanie Meyer, and wanted to see the second movie in the series, “New Moon,” before it left theaters. So we scraped together some money, left the kids at home, and went by ourselves to see it. I figured it was only fair that I went with her. After all, I’ve made her sit through several Steven Seagal movies that I know she really didn’t want to watch! LOL So, off we went. My honest opinion was that the movie wasn’t very good. My wife said that the books are definitely better than the movie was. It was a pretty slow movie, and the acting wasn’t very good, in my opinion. Anyways, if you’re a fan of the book series, you’ve gotta at least check it out. If you’re not really sure if you want to see it, it’s probably better to wait until it comes out on DVD. That’ll save you some cash. I found the movie trailer on Yahoo Movies. So decide for yourself: Read More.....
