Super Bowl XLIV is tomorrow, with the New Orleans Saints taking on the Indianapolis Colts. I’m excited to be off work so that I can actually sit back and enjoy the game this year. Things are kinda hectic in our house right now, as we’re in the middle of packing for our move back to Arizona, but by tomorrow, things will be settled enough by game time. Read More.....
Being a resident of New Braunfels a little over six months, I thought I would put together a top 5 list of my favorite places to eat. There are probably several other places to eat at that I haven’t been to yet, but all of these places can make your tastebuds water. Here are my top 5 places to eat in New Braunfels, TX: Read More.....

Well there I was, seemingly on the verge of a meltdown, and all of a sudden I’m starting to feel better. I’m not quite sure just exactly what has been going on, but I suspect that it has to do with a few things. Money matters have been a really big stress on our family lately. We haven’t made any friends since moving here to Texas in July. I’ve also been working a heck-of-a-lot of overtime in the last few months. Read More.....
I have been having a bit of a difficult time getting going over the last couple of days. I think I am just overly tired, but I got to sleep for 11 hours on Saturday, and for 11 hours on Sunday, so now I have proven to myself that I need much more sleep than I have been getting…lol. Anyway, today was a good day with the family, and after I spent a few hours on the phone and answering emails for work I had a plan. I cooked a mexican breakfast/lunch of homemade rice and beans, and some chicken and ground beef. I even made my husband go and get fresh flour tortillas from the local restaurant..Yum! I really do need to learn how to make them myself…lol. When we were done we took the kids for a custard at Freddy’s, and then we were off to the park. I love Landa Park, but I think it is the only park in town, as is evidenced by the large amount of bratty kids that can be found there on the weekends. I forgot about it being Martin Luther King day, and there were a lot more people there than on most Monday’s. Normally I would have turned around and went home, but I promised the kids and suffered through it. It really wasn’t that bad, and it is so much fun to watch all my kids play. JC is only two, but he gets around on those rock climbing walls like a pro now, and he loves to slide. Raylee was cracking my up on the spinning thingy, I don’t know what they are called, but it is hilarious when they get dizzy. The olders kids even have fun running around with their little brother and sister, and it is just good fun. When we got back home we decided to play some hoops in the front yard, and I was sure surprised at my husbands moves. He and my daughter made a great team, and she was landing some shots that shocked me. I wish her basketball team would have gotten the ball to her more often, then maybe they would not have lost all of their games…lol. Jake made some pretty good shots too, and we laughed, and I coughed a lot…..these allergies have got me feeling like I have asthma….this sucks! Oh well, it was a good day!
