This years Super Bowl Ads were not very good. There were a couple ads that were good but for the most part they were just blah. The Doritos Ads over all were good. They had three semi-finalists and they showed them on the Super Bowl, they were made by amateurs looking to win a contest. The one I liked the best was the gentleman coming to pick up his date and the son of the woman is in the living room with a bowl of Doritos. The man picks one up the little boy slaps his face and says, “Keep your hands off my Doritos and off my momma.” I think that was the best of the finalist. Read More.....
Where we live 37% of people that own their home owe more than the house is worth. This is sad, the news did a special report tonight. The report focused on should you walk away or keep the house if it is now worth much less than what you paid for. And even though you may have a moral issue with it this needs to be a financial decision. Why would you pay more for a long term investment than it is worth. Read More.....
Well it is Saturday, tomorrow is the Superbowl. Yeah!! The end of football sort of. Now we all wait around waiting to see the next season schedule. My husbands and my team only play each other every once in a while. We want to go to the stadium to see our teams play each other. Now is also the time if I have any extra money I try and look for any deals on the NFL gear we all love. My husband is a Bears freak and I say freak in a nice way. He is recognized at church because ever since we started going he has worn something bears. I need to invest in more shirts so he has a better variety, but they are so expensive. Read More.....
No one saw the quake coming except for HAARP maybe but isn’t it amazing how fast the U.S. was on the scene? Within hours the U.S. military was on the ground setting up operations and it was a miracle we could accomplish so much so quick or was it? Haiti has been on the news everyday since the quake struck and I have yet to hear of any response from the Dominican Republic. Why? They are on the same island and has there been any Haitian people try to go to the Dominican Republic for help? I have seen some true feats of human kindness in Haiti and I’ve seen how low the human spirit can go. I understand the need to help people especially children but I must question peoples true intent when I see the orphans being taken out of Haiti in droves. Are these people truly doing this out of kindness or are they doing this for themselves? I have seen some news reports that make me sick to my stomach as to what’s going on with those poor children.
