Day 5, after a break…

                Ok back to work.  Been 5 days since my last workout so tonight I got back on it. It’s like starting all over again. Ok not that bad. I didn’t almost throw up this time, but I did call it early to make sure it didn’t come to that.  Started out with 20 minutes on the elliptical. Day 4 of Doing the Damn Thing..

Haha Damn today didn’t go near as well with the work out plan but I can’t take the blame completely myself. College football had something to do with it. Started off saying that I was just going to watch the game and then hit the gym but that didn’t quite work out the way I planned. It was a good game though even though Texas lost. Alas no gym tonight. So I decided that I was going to push a deck. That’s doing push up for the face value of a playing card for the whole deck. Let me tell you though, pushing up 280lbs out of shape is a lot different than pushing 210lbs in shape. Haha shocks me how quickly things changed. Read More.....

Day 3 of the workout…

Day 3 and things just felt like they started to click tonight at the gym. Tonight I almost feel like I cheated myself I feel so good after but I know I worked harder tonight then I have the two days before. Haha this damned winter coat that I’ve allowed to build up over the year is getting in the way of my flexibility though. Cardio is coming back and I knew that would happen just not quite that fast. Guess it helped that I quit smoking a couple months ago. If I was still on a pack a day things probably would not be this easy. Read More.....

Damn I’m Fat…Day 2…

Today we fought day 2 of “Operation: Suck it, Gravity” and we successfully established a beachhead. Haha For real yesterday sucked badly and it wasn’t gravity doing the suckin. First lesson learned was not to eat a big meal before my workout.  Then I made sure to bring along an ipod to take my mind off my pain and things went so much better than the day before.   Read More.....
