It’s been reported that Billy Corgan, the lead singer/songwriter/guitarist for the alternative rock band The Smashing Pumpkins has been busy in the studio working on a duet with pop star Jessica Simpson. All I can say to that is “WTF?” You have got to be kidding me. These two go together like oil and water. I mean, yeah, Pumpkins fans have been a little disappointed as the band hasn’t really been putting out many hits lately, but did he have to go and do a duet with her? She IS the same Jessica Simpson that thinks that Chicken Of The Sea is really chicken, which was witnessed on her short-lived reality show on her marriage to Nick Lachey. At first, I kinda liked watching the show, always finding something to laugh about with her ditzy ways and the fact that she was pleasing to the eye. But it got old real quick as, to me, beauty isn’t just skin deep and you can only take too much stupidity. LOL
I saw on newKerala.com that Corgan and Simpson have been spending quite a bit of time together lately, in and out of the studio, and this could make for a very interesting world tour coming this summer at a second-rate venue near you. On a side note, if the two are actually dating, this would be the first romance for Simpson ever since splitting with Dallas Cowboys star quarterback Tony Romo this past summer. Everybody needs some time to recover from a difficult breakup. And all kidding aside, I wish the two of them well. The duet might actually be pretty good and, if so, it wouldn’t surprise me because Corgan is a pretty versatile musician.
