I just wanted to give my thoughts on a few bits of news that have been coming out from the entertainment industry. First off…
- Li’l Wayne – he’s going to prison for a year or so for some kind of weapon charge, and also has drug charges pending in Texas and Arizona. All I can say, is once a little gang-banger, always a little gang-banger. These people do everything that they do, to themselves. I’m an adult. I don’t carry around guns, or have a busload full of pot. I mean, come on… if you’re on the up-and-up, why do you feel you have to carry around a gun to protect yourself?
- Brittany Murphy – 32 year-old actress passed away on December 20th from “natural causes.” What is so natural about a 32-year old dying? I’m thinking that either she had the swine flu, as she was reported to have “flu-like symptoms” a few days before her death… or was maybe doing something that she wasn’t supposed to be doing…
- The Rev (aka James Owen Sullivan) – the 28 year-old drummer from the band “Avenged Sevenfold” passed away on December 28th after he was found “unresponsive” in his home. While I don’t like to speculate, this also has drugs written all over it. It’s not very often that a seemingly healthy person just up and dies without some help from somewhere. I hope that the autopsy shows different, but I have my doubts…
I don’t understand why some celebrities have such a hard time staying in the “straight and narrow.” Here they have it made financially, but most are doomed to have horrible personal lives, and most of that is because of self-infliction. I think the media has a lot to do with some of it, too. They’re constantly bugging these people, and won’t just leave them alone. I don’t really care what so-and-so is doing at any given time… that’s what twitter is for. I only care about what these people are able to provide for my entertainment… so just give me the movies, the TV shows, and the CDs… and let’s try and give these people normal lives. For all of the entertainment that they give us, they deserve a little peace and quiet when they want it…
