OK I am sure we have all seen it on the news and TV about Obama stating go back to school. What I want to know is how the HELL can we. I have a Bachelors degree already and because of that I can get student loans but that’s it. We are in the low income status and even though I would qualify for other financial help because I went to college right out of high school I am punished now.
To me this is completely unfair. I do not think I would have thought about going to college if were better off financially. Meaning I had a job and did not need to get more education to get a job. The Government needs to think we are in a terrible state right now. I think that we need to change or modify some of these guidelines due to the current times we have.
I can get some student loans to cover the costs but I still have out of pocket and it sucks. The schools are not straight forward either. I decided to do on-line college due to convenience having children. When I first called and talked to them I said I can not afford anything out of pocket and they said fine. I went through my first semester did not owe a thing. Then at the end of my second semester and then I receive a bill for about $300. I immediately called and they said yep that was right. And with that, it would be about that about owed for each continuing semester. WTF I start a degree and now the stories change it is terrible now I have not only wasted my time but am further in debt.
This really sucks.
