Moving that is the question do you move or not and where do you move to? Over the last few years my family and I have comtemplated leaving California. We have looked at Texas, Michigan, Indiana, Nebraska and Florida. The decision is what state is best to live in? I have lived in California my entire life I have visited Reno (who has not) and Nebreska. I like California but we are so far from everything else in the US. But it is always in the back of my mind would the family be better off if we moved? The economy is terrible California where I live has 24% unemployment rate thats about 1 in 4 people but in my house neither one of us has a real job with guaranteed income. So I am scared I have no idea what to do. Nebraska as 4.4% unemployment which is great and looking at their jobs out there with the price of housing is pretty good. Texas not to many jobs out there houses about the same prices in California. Michigan has one of the highest unemployment rates in the U.S. and houses there are ok. Did not see too many jobs. Indiana the same thing as Michigan. So all these are not to promising and as for the different in locations some football others things to go see. The only place that sounds promising to move to is Nebraska but that is a 1500 miles away. A huge move. I love planning so I looked up lots about moving to different states. The main thing that is the same for each state is the DMV process. Bring in 2 proofs of address with the old information pay the fee get the new state, must be done in 30 days. Which is cool to me that the states all have the same requirement for transfering.
But never know what might happen. We may stay in California forever we may move this summer. All depends on the Job market and what looks good for the kids that is the hard part. It would be so much easier if we had no children but having two little kids makes it so much harder.
