Prolific Mexican politician and intellectual Jorge Castañeda believes that a greater North American community — a “North American Union” — with economies tied together under a European Union-style system, compete with open borders and a unified currency, is the wave of the future. In May of 2005, the Council on Foreign Relations released a document entitled “Building a North American Community” in which it calls for an EU-like integration of Canada, the United States and Mexico. What do you think of this?
It has been reported that the ” Amero ” is already being traded on the foreign exchange markets but I have yet to verify this. Could this be the new flag we will be forced to fly? If this happens we will certainly lose our Constitution and bill of rights. So many people fought and died for our UNITED STATES and out of respect of my father who fought in WWII for this country I feel compelled to do the same.

Students from all three countries have been meeting once a year since 2005. They meet to go through mock scenarios of all branches of government to highlight flaws and to prime our young to become used to such an idea of a North American union. Do you think this is right for Americans to give up their country to form this union? The European Union is currently struggling to stay intact and the Euro is falling in value almost everyday. There are enough problems here at home to solve rather than looking into such a disastrous plan. I am an American and will always be and won’t be a part of this attempt to dissolve our borders.
